I’ve always been a designer.

In seventh grade, I told my mom I wanted to be a graphic novelist. I was completely obsessed with how powerful a story could be when paired with beautiful illustrations. That love of storytelling led me to earn my BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2014.

Originally, I thought freelancing was the path (very graphic novelist-core), but the reality of student loans made me a little nervous. So I pivoted toward a corporate career instead. I started out in the stationery and gift packaging world, working in production design. It was creatively fulfilling for a while—but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing. Storytelling, strategy, and deeper problem-solving kept calling me back.

Then one day, over lunch at a Greek restaurant, a coworker casually introduced me to UX design… and it kind of flipped my world upside down.

I earned my UX Design certification in 2020 (right in the middle of the pandemic) and started freelancing and contracting, which gave me the chance to work on a wide range of projects with different teams. Eventually, I settled into full-time roles, but that exploratory phase helped shape how I approach problems.

UX feels like the perfect intersection of storytelling, empathy, psychology, and systems thinking. I love digging into user behavior and designing solutions that actually matter—work that feels lasting and appreciated, instead of something meant to be tossed aside.

Outside of work, I’m a serious home cook, an amateur novelist, and a proud collector of Pusheen the Cat (made very obvious when on a Zoom call with me). You’re also 90% likely to see 1 of my 4 cats!
